Frequently asked questions
How does material testing work?
How does material testing work?
Every new item we haven't engraved before gets a single-piece test run first. We confirm the result is clean, durable, and matches what you spec'd before touching the production batch. If the first pass nails it, the piece is good and goes back with your order. If we have to adjust settings and re-engrave the same piece to dial it in, that one becomes unusable — but the testing fee credits against the final order when you proceed.
Can our supplier ship parts directly to you?
Can our supplier ship parts directly to you?
Yes. If you're sourcing items wholesale or having parts manufactured elsewhere, give your supplier our shipping address and we'll receive the batch directly. Saves you the warehouse hop. Just let us know what to expect and when.
We bought a bunch of bottles / chargers / tools — can you add our logo?
We bought a bunch of bottles / chargers / tools — can you add our logo?
Yes, this is a common workflow. Send us a sample of the item plus your logo file (vector preferred), and we'll test, quote, and mark the batch. We've engraved logos on water bottles, USB chargers, hand tools, drinkware, hardware, and just about anything else that's bought in volume for branded use.
What if the item has a coating or finish?
What if the item has a coating or finish?
Coated and finished items often engrave beautifully — anodized aluminum exposes bright silver underneath, powder-coated steel exposes the metal, and many plastics ablate cleanly. The result depends on the specific finish, which is why we test before running the batch.
Can you engrave trademarked or licensed logos?
Can you engrave trademarked or licensed logos?
You need to own or be licensed to use any logo or design we engrave. If you're applying a licensed mark, please confirm you have permission before we run the job.
What's the typical lead time?
What's the typical lead time?
Standard turnaround is 1–2 weeks from approval of the test piece. Larger or more complex jobs take longer, and rush service is available case-by-case. If you're on a tight deadline, tell us up front and we'll lay out an honest timeline before you commit.
Can you handle ongoing weekly or monthly intake?
Can you handle ongoing weekly or monthly intake?
Yes. Several of our accounts ship us batches on a regular cadence — same spec, same workflow each time. Once we've tested and approved your item, repeat batches skip the testing step and run on a standing quote.
Can you provide traceability documentation?
Can you provide traceability documentation?
For accounts that need it (regulated industries, OEM data plates), we can provide batch certs, photos of marked output, and traceable serial-number ranges. Mention this with your initial inquiry so we set up the workflow on day one.
Do you keep our designs and specs confidential?
Do you keep our designs and specs confidential?
Yes. Drawings, logos, part lists, and customer files stay private. We're happy to sign an NDA if your procurement process requires one — just send it over with your quote request.
Can I talk to someone about my project?
